I don't want anyone to think that I am trying to tell them not to play SWG; if you are playing and having fun, then more power to you, I know I wouldn't. I also don't plan to keep beating this dead horse even more, it was just a thought that came to my mind and I thought I would share it.
A friend of mine who loved SWG before the NGE explained it in simple terms when I asked him why he was still playing, 'I try to forget that there was anything before the NGE cause it is never going to go away'.
